Analyzing air currents is simple and economical using the Airflow Test Kit. The non-corrosive smoke is safe for use in isolation room testing, ventilation ducts, and other environments. To maximize efficiency, tubes can be plugged with the supplied rubber stoppers, and reused at other test sites. The kits are always ready to use and do not require mixing or additional equipment. Kits contain everything needed for testing, including 5 non-corrosive smoke tubes. Respiratory protection can be a safety requirement for a variety of workers ranging from First Responders and decontamination teams to welders and manufacturing workers. Ensuring the respirator properly fits is vital to the wearer's health and is therefore required by OSHA. Although there are a variety of fit testing products available, Nextteq offers only irritant smoke fit testing products. Irritant smoke fit testing is the only OSHA-accepted qualitative fit testing method that does not rely on the test subject's subjective response. Qualitative fit tests such as banana oil (Isoamyl acetate), saccharin, or Bitrex may cause false negative results. A common cause of a false negative result is the failure of a test subject to identify a leak in the respirator. In addition to traditional irritant smoke fit tests, Nextteq offers VeriFit, the first all-in-one plastic irritant smoke generator. Its patented plastic design integrates all traditional fit testing kit components into one convenient device and eliminates danger from broken glass tubes. The small bellows size provides the optimum amount of smoke for fit testing yet minimizes the risk of overexposure. For testing contamination levels in supplied air and compressed gas, Nextteq offers Airtec Regulator Kits. The kits accurately detect the five most common contaminants: oil mist, water vapor, nitrogen oxide, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide.
