Details

API hydrometers are used in determining gravity of petroleum oils and compounds. Made in accordance with specifications of ASTM E100 and API Modulus 141.5. Scale error is less than the value of the smallest subdivision. Hydrometers are constructed with a solid alloy ballast and are designed to permit quick penetration to the setting point, creating no air bubbles. Each hydrometer incorporates a built-in thermometer for convenience when testing samples.
