Service/Repair FAQ

What brand of dead weight testers do you repair/calibrate?

We service all hydraulic dead weight testers and gauges including Refinery Supply, Chandler, Ametek, and Ashcroft instruments.

Do you offer NIST certifications?

We offer N.I.S.T. (National Institute of Standard & Technologies) on most dead weight testers and gauges for a nominal fee.

What is the difference between a Factory Certification and a NIST Certification on dead weight testers and gauges?

Factory Certification = Accuracy .05% of full scale
NIST Certification = Accuracy .02% of full scale

Are replacement parts available for all RSC products?

Refinery Supply can replace any broken and/or worn parts on all manufactured products for minimal cost.

Can I send my LPG Freeze Valve AT-1000 to RSC for repair and/or calibration?

The AT-1000 LPG Freeze Valve can be repaired and/or calibrated per the manufacturer’s specifications. We notify our customer with an estimate prior to repair and/or calibration for their approval.

Do you certify thermometers and hydrometers?

Thermometers are certified traceable to NIST standards at 3 points ie. high, medium, and low, unless requested otherwise, for a fee of $150.00 each.
Hydrometers are certified traceable to NIST standards at 3 points temperature and 2 points for API for a fee of $95.00 each.

Can I send my LPG Freeze Valve AT-1000 to RSC for repair and/or calibration?

The AT-1000 LPG Freeze Valve can be repaired and/or calibrated per the manufacturer’s specifications. Once your valve is received it will be analyzed and an evaluation form will be sent to you. This form will provide the repair cost and a replacement cost of a new unit for comparison. Please note: If you do not choose to repair or replace a unit, and decide to have the unit scrapped or returned as is, you are still responsible for a $350 analysis charge.
